Transportation Access to the Principality
by Air
The Nice-Côte d'Azur International airport is 22 kilometres away from Monaco. Helicopter and bus services, taxis and rented cars connect the airport to the Principality on a permanent basis.
By helicopter (regular services or upon request), the trip takes 7 minutes.
by Rail
The Monaco/Monte-Carlo train station (S.N.C.F.) accommodates many international trains.
Railroad is a quick means of communication between the Principality and all the towns on the Côte d'Azur, between Cannes and Menton.
by Road
The A8 motorway, connected to the European motorway network, serves the Principality through easily accessible link roads (junction A8-RN7 from Nice; exit Monaco or La Turbie, coming from or going to Nice; Roquebrune, coming from or going to Italy).
Local connections are secured by three main roads, the Lower, the Medium and the Upper Corniche.
Local bus service: To Nice and Cannes, through the Lower and Medium Corniche, from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m., but also to Menton, Italy and the hinterland villages. A few distances: Cannes = 50 km. Genoa = 174 km. Geneva = 520 km. Marseille = 205 km. Menton = 7 km.

Both harbours of the Principality, the one at La Condamine, called « Port Hercule », and the one of Fontvieille, are outfitted to accommodate pleasure yachts of all tonnages; intercontinental cruise ships may call in the bay of Monaco.
